Little-known facts about me

My brother and I are "Irish Twins." We were both born in 1947--ten months apart.

In first grade I got bored one day, so I memorized the alphabet backwards.

I'm geographically impaired. The first time I rode the Greyhound bus home from college, I got off in the wrong town.

I went 44 years without throwing up! (Food poisoning from a HOSPITAL CAFETERIA ruined my record.)

I was a cheerleader in college.

As a college student in Washington D.C. I had no money, so I waded into the fountain at the Library of Congress and picked up coins.

I used to play the ukelele.

I have solved every Free Cell game from #1 to #3213. After that I discovered Spider Solitaire and lost interest in Free Cell. But forget that. Now I'm a Words With Friends Junkie.

In 52 years of marriage, I have never mowed the lawn. (I have a wonderful, hard-working husband.)

I read or listen to 60-90 books a year.

I read magazines back to front but never do that with books.

With no medical experience, I delivered my sister's 10 # 3 oz. baby on the living room floor when she couldn't make it to the hospital.

I have hundreds of publication credits in about 70 different print venues.

I love any food with nuts in it or on it.
