WHAT TO VOTE FOR AND AGAINST

I think people are going to vote based on the source of their news. The media's influence on us cannot be downplayed. 

Have you seen the movie, "Who Shot Liberty Valance?" an old movie starring Jimmy Stewart. The theme is truth in journalism, and the conclusion is that whatever sells the newspaper is what the truth should be. The setting of the movie is late 1800s, when I would like to think that most people craved truth and discerned it from error. But journalistic "mis-information" is not a recent phenomenon. Have I not read how the tomb guards were paid to spread the "news" that Jesus' body was stolen, "and this story was widely spread among the Jews and is to this day" (Mt. 28:13)

 

That said, my prayer for this election is that people will vote against Socialism. I'm including a link to an article by Dr. Peter Goeman of Shepherds Theological Seminary. He says socialism promises to never let someone else get ahead of you, thus appealing to mankind's inherent selfish (sinful) mindset. He gives 4 reasons why socialism is anti-biblical.*

I believe voting for Kamala Harris is a vote for Socialism. Despite what she says she will do, her past record denies it. So which candidate is the liar? The problem with Trump is his sense of humor. What he thinks is funny (sarcasm, making fun of people, exaggeration) is seen as rudeness and meanness and lying. I can look beyond that and agree that foolishness does need called out, and that is what Trump does.

 

Besides, if Trump wins the election, I don't think the opposition will let him take office. His sentencing (from an extremely prejudiced trial with a biased jury) is set for Nov 26. If he gets put away, JD Vance will be our President. What's not to like about that? In fact, that is what I pray for.

 

What are you praying for and voting for? A vote for Republicans, however imperfect they are, is a vote against Socialism.

4 - Socialism assumes people are inherently good and want to help the unfortunate. Actually, people are basically self-seeking. That's why socialism cannot work and has never worked in any country long-term. It is not merely an economic choice. Socialism takes away citizens' freedoms and liberty, plunging a country into economic ruin.
